What We Do

CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE

Child Sexual Abuse has been one of the most hideous of crimes to take place. One in every 5 children is a victim to this crime. Legal justice takes years to come and rehabilitation has brought in very less benefits to them. The situation is grim with most of the cases going unreported due to social stigma. A relevant way out is to provide awareness and knowledge to children and their care takers on ways of self- protection. Prevention is better than cure and hence, these we at Utsa Foundation Trust, design interventions through the medium of awareness campaigns and workshops, meetings , counseling etc to reduce the number of victims in years to come.

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE MANAGEMENT

Menstrual hygiene is a national issue that needs dire attention. Women in Rural areas and Urban Slums are lacking not just awareness on the hygienic and basic factors related to menstruation but also sources of finance to support the daily needs through this health related process. People in general need to be made aware about the side effects of unhygienic practices during menstruation. It is also essential to facilitate various schemes provided by the State and Central Govt machineries to combat the issues related to Menstrual hygiene so that the beneficiary at the bottom end reaches out and avails the benefits. It is also essential to check the number of high drop outs due to menstruation among early adolescent and adolescent girls. We need to talk more on this topic and break the taboo and the myth associated with it
